Lincoln Atten
Lincoln Atten is an associate lawyer at Khokhar Law Group whose practice focuses on family law, civil litigation, real estate, and commercial law. With more than 15 years of legal experience in both Canada and the United States, Lincoln is known for his strategic, analytical approach to resolving complex legal issues and his commitment to delivering practical, results-oriented advice.
Born and primarily raised in Winnipeg, Lincoln also spent several years living in Calgary and Toronto before pursuing his legal education in Miami, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba in 2005 before earning his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2011. During law school, Lincoln distinguished himself as an accomplished trial advocate, receiving the Best Advocate Award and helping lead his trial team to first-place victories at both the American Bar Association National Criminal Justice Trial Advocacy Competition and The Florida Bar's Chester A. Bedell Memorial Mock Trial Competition. He was called to The Florida Bar in 2011 and to the Law Society of Manitoba in 2014.
Lincoln began his legal career in Miami, where he practiced in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defence before returning home to Winnipeg. Since then, he has built a broad litigation practice, representing individuals, families, and businesses throughout Manitoba. Before joining Khokhar Law Group in 2024, Lincoln practiced with several respected Winnipeg law firms, gaining extensive experience managing complex files from initial consultation through negotiation, mediation, and trial.
Today, Lincoln advises clients in a wide range of family, litigation, real estate, and commercial matters. Whether advocating in the courtroom, negotiating a resolution, or guiding clients through significant transactions, he is committed to developing thoughtful legal strategies tailored to each client's objectives. His clients value his ability to analyze complicated legal issues, communicate clearly, and provide practical advice that helps them make informed decisions with confidence.
Outside the office, Lincoln enjoys spending time with his friends and family. Having lived in several Canadian cities and in South Florida, he values the diverse experiences that have shaped both his personal and professional life. He is also actively involved in his community as the coach of his son's soccer team. An avid golfer and sports fan, Lincoln enjoys spending time outdoors with his loved ones whenever he has the opportunity.
